NExit to Disburse Loans to only 400,000 N-Power Batch A & B disengaged Beneficiaries - UMAR SADIYA FAROUQ

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development has begged for calm for those who were not shortlisted for the Npower batch C stream one of the Npower programme. She also said the government is still looking at possible ways to source out funds in collaboration with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to disburse loans to the disengage Npower Batch A & B Beneficiaries. This was made know in Abuja during her "week in review" on Tuesday and signed by her Press Secretary, Mrs Halima oyelade.

In her statement, that Over 5 million persons applied for the Npower program through the Nasims portal, but just one million is needed, 500,000 in the first stream and the second stream will have the next 500,000.

She wrote,
“A TOTAL OF 5,042,001 NIGERIAN YOUTHS HAVE APPLIED AS AT THE END OF THE REGISTRATION.
“DUE DILIGENCE WILL BE APPLIED DURING THE NEXT STAGES OF THE SELECTION TO ENSURE THAT ONLY DULY QUALIFIED APPLICANTS ARE ENROLLED.”
“THE MINISTRY WILL ENSURE THAT THE APPLICANTS AS WELL AS THE GENERAL PUBLIC, ARE FULLY INFORMED ON THE PROGRESS OF THE SCHEME,”
“ACCORDING TO FAROUQ, THE N-POWER PROGRAMME IS AIMED AT PROVIDING THE NIGERIAN YOUTHS WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO GAIN SKILLS FOR EMPLOYABILITY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP”
THE HUMANITARIAN MINISTER, UMAR SADIYA FAROUQ SAID, THE NEXIT CBN LOAN PORTAL HAS OFFICIALLY CLOSED, THOSE TRYING TO REGISTER WILL BE DENIED, MORE THAN ENOUGH TIME WERE GIVEN TO INTERESTED DISENGAGED VOLUNTEERS TO SHOW INTEREST
IN A TELEVISED REPORT ON TVC NEWS, THE MINISTER SAID, THEY NEEDED TIME TO PROCESS OVER 400,000 APPLICATIONS, THE PROCESS IS CUMBERSOME AND REQUIRED CAREFULNESS THE MINISTER ADDED.
“WE ARE PROCESSING LOAN REQUEST OF OVER 400,000 PERSONS, THEIR VARIOUS CHOICES IN TICKING THE QUESTIONS ASKED IN THE APPLICATION PORTAL IS SORTED OUT BASED ON THE BUSINESSES THEY INTEND TO DO, SURELY MORE TIME IS NEEDED TO ASCERTAIN AND GROUP THE ENROLLEES ACCORDING TO THEIR CHOSEN BUSINESS CHOICE”
SADIYA STRESSED THE NEED FOR MORE PATIENTS AS THE GOVERNMENT IS SEEKING ALL MEANS TO FUND THE NEXIT CBN PROGRAMME.
“THE GOVERNMENT IS SEEKING ALL MEANS TO FUND THE CBN LOAN AFFILIATE PROGRAMME. A SUPPLEMENTARY BUDGET WILL BE PASSED THIS MONTH, THOSE WAITING FOR THE LOAN NEED TO EXERCISE SOME PATIENT.
I also enjoin you not to pay anyone money for your names to be shortlisted. If you pass the online test as well as meet the various screening stages, you will be selected either in stream 1 or stream 2.
Lastly, for the batch A and B, if you fail to register on the Nexit portal, know that you have missed out as only those that register will be confirm for the loan disbursements.
