In addition to pvc validity confirmation, I use the inec portal to get my pvc number when it was no longer visible on my voters card.
It was also useful when I wanted to get my polling unit code, which is required to get directions to my polling unit.
INEC Continuous Voters Registration/How To Check PVC Status
If you want to check if your pvc is valid, go to inec pvc verification portal
Right there, you can use your Voter’s Identification Number (VIN) or your name and date of birth to locate your registration.
To check status using your date of birth,
Select state of registration, enter your last name, first name, date of birth and click “Check status”
If your registration is valid, your details will be displayed which will include :
Voter identification number (VIN)
Time of Registration
Local Government Area
Registration area (ward)
Polling unit code
INEC Registration/Where Can I Collect My PVC When Ready?
You can collect your pvc when it is ready at the INEC office in your local government.
You can also make use of the online pvc location finder.
The PVC ( Permanent Voters Card) is smart card based voters’ identity with voter’s information such as bio-data, biometric and facial image. The card technology provides adequate security features to reduce vulnerability to counterfeiting and shall be used for identification and authentication of voters during elections in Nigeria.
