Eko Digital School is established to ensure continuous learning for all children in Lagos state. The platform enables students either in or out of school to have continuous uninterrrupted learning. The platform is incorporated with all subjects which are aligned based on the curriculum, (week by week). It also has various important features like assignments, tests, examinations and reports.
The ekodigitalschool.com, developed by Chronicles Software Development Company, has curriculum-based content for all junior secondary school subjects, allows self-paced learning, provides for tests, and interaction between learners and teachers through chats and forums, among others.
The Co-founder of the firm, Mr. Oluwatosin Oluwakoyejo added that for educators, the platform allows teachers to create content, set examinations, grade pupils, monitor their performance; while for administrators, the platform provides analysis on performance in various subjects, among others.

According to the Co-founder of Chronicles Software Development, Mr. Koyejo Oluwatosin, the platform is incorporated with all subjects which are aligned based on the curriculum, (week by week) while it also has various important features like assignments, tests, examinations and reports to ensure continuous interrupted learning, particularly as the COVID-19 pandemic ravages.
Oluwatosin further explained that the Eko Digital School takes a sequential approach to learning where student are expected to complete specific requirement before accessing next level of content.
As the use of the platform continues, he disclosed plan to make digital report cards available as well as universal examination engine for the conduct of SS2 mock exams, SS 3 qualifying exams and teacher promotion examinations among others.
Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folashade Adefisayo, who commended Chronicles Software Development Company said the digital school, which is open to all students and teachers in Lagos, will help them become tech savvy, learn live long skills as well as help build the 21st century skills that should be integrated into teaching and learning.
To ensure access, the Commissioner disclosed that the State Government is investing heavily in devices in addition to devices donated by the private sector in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
“This pilot scheme is aimed at using digital technology to push education to a world class quality,” she said.
